It’s important that you choose the right type of session for your family. I am a lifestyle photographer and I want to show you how beautiful your family is, how happy and lucky you are . Images from your sessions often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in time. I do not try to make you look perfect, stiff, or unnatural. I will not ask your children to smile. I am not after that "one" shot with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. Sure, I may get some with everyone looking and smiling, but I promise if I do, it will be because it happened naturally, not because it was forced.

I'm Edinburgh based in UK and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee. If the location of the shoot is farther than 15 miles of the postcode EH14 please add an additional £0.50p/mile to your session fee.

We will discuss and choose the location together. I have been leaving in Edinburgh for over 9 years now and have a great knowledge about amazing locations perfect for your photo shoot. Our session will be held outdoors, in natural light. Newborn sessions are held at your home.

My family portrait sessions usually last about an hour. It can take longer if needed. Do not worry we are not going to rush anything. I want you to have fun. I will make sure you all relaxed and happy with me capturing your memories.

Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I do not recommend matching but rather coordinating. Try to choose plain tops, shirts with no imprints on them so they don’t distract. Your photo session will depend on your well-being and how you feel in your clothes. I want you to be relaxed while I am working on creating your memories during the shoot.

We can reschedule, no problem. And I’m in the same boat as you, if I’m unwell, I don’t want to be bringing that into your home.

Yes! It’s wonderful to include grandparents in family portrait.

Umm, hello? When does this not happen?! I’m a mum, I get it. We’ll all work together to keep them entertained; we can keep them moving and doing things THEY enjoy. Keep a couple of favourite toys and books handy so we can pull them out if needed. And if all else fails, misbehaving kids really do make great photos! The little wrinkles on their faces when they frown are oh-so-cute!

First, I’ll spend some time getting to know your kids. So please don’t be offended if I walk through the door and say hi to them first. It’s super important they get to know me, and become comfortable around me. If we are doing an in-home session, I’ll need someone to give me a tour through your home (usually the kids!), so I can work out the best areas to shoot in. If we’re outdoors, we start exploring straight away! I will gently guide you. Sometimes it might just be to move to a particular light area or place a hand on someone’s cheek. Super easy. That’s it! Of course, if we are working around newborns or toddlers (or grumpy teenagers), I don’t mind staying the extra 20-30 mins to ensure we get everything we need.

I take huge pride in my work and will only give you beautifully edited, finished photographs that look they very best. For that reason, the RAW, unedited images are not available for purchase or otherwise, simply because they are only "half-baked" and not the finished product the way I envision it to be. Only I know how the images are designed to look - and my editing process is as much a part of my artistic skill as the way I take a photograph.

Within 2-3 weeks of your session, a private gallery will be available to view. I will choose the best images for your gallery. I look carefully at every picture I capture at your session and hand-select the best images. I am looking for images representing me as an artist and your family, as each is radically unique. I guarantee a minimum of 50 images, but there are usually many more included. Lucky you! Your gallery will be active for viewing and downloading for 14 days. Please back up your files. You may share your gallery link with family and friends.
