It's always such an honour to be able to capture the children in a family as newborns. One of the best parts of being a newborn photographer is getting to watch each baby grow, but also getting to watch the families grow- it's pretty sweet!

I First met Maja during a newborn session. Maja was only 36 hours old.

Now, a year later Maja and her family are celebrating her first birthday.

Kids are always so adorable to capture on camera, and I honestly think I love the challenge of it all. You never know how a child will react in front of the camera. Some get scared, some get camera shy, and some kids pose and pose and love the attention. It’s so cute and I love to see how a kid reacts to my presence. Maja is one of those babies who just soaked up the camera and loved every bit of it. Not only is she so precious, but her smiles just completely melted my heart. I had so much fun capturing this family in one of Edinburgh's local parks. Here are my favourites from their afternoon family session and first birthday portraits.
