Tyninghame Beach
Beach family pictures are a fantastic way of creating memories as a whole family at a beautiful and relaxing location. A photoshoot at the beach can be a lot of fun. There's something about the sea that brings peace of mind to humans—something unspoken, something magical.
Scottish summer is beautiful but also unpredictable. One day, you feel like you are on a real vacation, as Scottish beaches are some of the most beautiful; the next, you wonder where summer has gone. If there's one thing you can be sure about when discussing Scottish weather, it's that rain will play a big part. It is not easy to plan, but as you can see below, it is possible ;)
As the old Scottish saying goes, 'There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes!'
With this wonderful family, we went to one of my favourite beaches, Tyninghame Beach, which is only 45 minutes from Edinburgh city centre by car.
There are several reasons why I love this place so much
- This beach is so large that you will not feel crowded even on the sunniest day (which sounds great for family photo shoots).
- The sand is golden, and the water is clear and turquoise.
- The car park is not far from the beach. 10-15 minutes walk so even small children can make this distance.
- It is very close to the forest. It is so beautiful that it's almost magical—a wonderful background for a family photo. We can have the joy of both.
