Threipmuir Reservoir & Red Moss of Balerno

Red Moss of Balerno, on the edge of the Pentland Hills, is the only raised bog in the City of Edinburgh. In summer and autumn, the peatland is covered in a blanket of pink-purple heather. It looks beautiful at any time of the year.
Harlaw Reservoir
Harlaw Reservoir is a 5.5-kilometre loop trail ( we do not have to go all the way around the lake ) located near Balerno, Edinburgh, Scotland that features a lake and is suitable for all skill levels. It is within walking distance of the car park, so even smaller children will have a great time there. Lake, hills in the background make it so beautiful.
Bonaly Country Park
This is one of my favourite places, it's a great adventure with a private photographer (me) following your every step and capturing this wonderful time. It is a bit challenging trip as it is about a mile uphill to reach Bonaly nature reservoir.
I wouldn't recommend this location to families with young children unless you are ready to carry them which can be fun too ;)
