NEWBORN SESSION IN COMFORT OF YOUR HOME

Newborn photography is unique to me. Every time I photograph newborn babies, I go back in time. I clearly remember the day when I became a mother and the feelings that accompanied me at the time: excitement, happiness, love, overwhelming, stress and fatigue (I can count them endlessly). All these emotions, everything that just happened ... was beautiful. The following weeks, months after birth, are less pronounced. Everything is a little fuzzy. But I have my photos, albums, my little video that I created for myself and my family. My girls love watching all the memories of when they were very young. They love to hear about it. So I am glad that I can talk about it and remember a special time, even if most come only from photos, not from my memories.

RELAXED AND NATURAL

As a mother, I can completely understand what you are going through. It is not always so easy, but it is worth capturing this unique time, these fleeting moments. When I photograph children, I try to make my sessions very relaxed and natural. So you don't have to do much before or even during the session. Just be with your baby, hug them, kiss them and I will capture this beautiful time and connection between you.

I never rush.
We won't be in a hurry, we'll take time.
My session is baby-led and I know that babies need to be changed and fed regularly.
I will make sure we have time for everything.
My photography is about you as a family and love between you.

WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORNS?

Babies grow so fast, I know, but for me, the most important thing is how you and your baby feel. I want you to be ready for it. With my kind of photography, there is no rush. I can photograph babies at any age because I am not posing them. We can meet in the first 48 hours of your baby's life, or it can wait till your baby is more settled.

Where do you photograph newborns?

While most of the newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home, some parents decide to take their newborn baby to the garden or to a nearby park, I'm open to any idea.

During the pre-shoot consultation, we will discuss the ideal location for your shoot. This can be a country park, a beach, a field, woodlands or somewhere else that is special to you and your family. Remember the weather may force us to change our location choice on the day.

What to wear to our session?

The wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I do not recommend matching but rather coordinating. Try to choose plain tops, shirts with no imprints on them so they don’t distract. Natural colours are my favourites. Your photo session will depend on your well-being and how you feel in your clothes. I want you to be relaxed while I am working on creating your memories during the shoot.

For your baby, choose plain natural bodysuits and your favourite blanket. I will likely take it off and get some nude or near-nude newborn photos as well.

IS MY HOME SUITABLE FOR THE PHOTO SESSION?

Your house is perfect for a photo shoot. I do not need much, just one window to make your pictures perfect.

How long do I have to wait for my photos to be ready ?

I aim to deliver your online gallery within 2 weeks after the photo shoot. You’ll receive a link to a beautiful online gallery where you can view and download your photos.

How to book a session with Dorota

Booking a newborn session with me is easy. As soon as you are ready to book your session, I will send you an invoice telling you how to make a deposit of £ 100 to secure your booking. This amount will be deducted from your final invoice. I will then write your due date on my calendar and patiently wait for your message that your baby is born. We will then book your newborn session as soon as you and your baby are well enough. We will plan accordingly.

A deposit is required on the day of your booking. The session fee is non-refundable
