We walk through Edinburgh’s Old Town and surrounding areas — Royal Mile, hidden closes, quiet streets, and beautiful city corners. We stop when something catches your eye, talk, look around, and take photos as the moments happen.


Sometimes I gently guide you, especially for a few classic portraits. Other times, I simply let things unfold naturally.

Every photoshoot is a little different. We agree on the starting point before your session, depending on where you are staying and what part of the city you would like to explore. I will make it as simple and easy for you as possible.

I guide you through beautiful corners of the city, but nothing is rushed or staged. The goal is simple — to enjoy Edinburgh and capture it naturally while you explore.

This is the historic heart of Edinburgh, full of narrow streets, closes, and beautiful stone buildings.

We walk along the Royal Mile and step into quieter side streets that many visitors miss. It is a great choice if you want classic Edinburgh atmosphere mixed with hidden corners and authentic city life.


Perfect if this is your first visit and you want your photos to feel truly “Edinburgh”.

Stockbridge & Dean Village


This part of Edinburgh feels calm, local, and slightly hidden from the busy city centre.

We walk through quiet streets, along pretty corners, and into Dean Village, where stone houses and water views create a very relaxed atmosphere. It is a lovely choice for couples, families, and anyone who prefers a softer, less crowded side of the city.

This route combines open space, city views, and nature right next to Edinburgh's centre.

Calton Hill offers beautiful views over the city, while the lower paths of Holyrood Park give us room to walk, pause, and enjoy the landscape without climbing or rushing.

FAQ

Where do we meet for the photoshoot?

We always agree on the meeting point together in advance.
Before the photoshoot, I send you the exact location via Google Maps, so everything is clear and easy to find. If your accommodation is close to the chosen area, we can absolutely start there and walk together.

How much walking is involved during the photoshoot?

Your vacation photoshoot is relaxed and adapted to you.
We move at an easy pace, stop often, and take breaks whenever needed — especially when travelling with children. It never feels like a long hike or a rush from place to place.

Can we explore Edinburgh during our photoshoot?

Yes, absolutely. That is really what the photo walk is all about.
We explore Edinburgh together while taking photographs along the way. I can show you some of the well-known places, but also little streets, hidden closes and quieter corners you might otherwise walk straight past.
You do not need to rush from one photo spot to another. We walk, talk, look around and stop whenever we find somewhere beautiful. It is a lovely way to see a little more of Edinburgh and come home with photographs of your time here too.

What should we wear?

Comfort is the most important thing.
Choose clothes you feel good in and can walk comfortably in, especially shoes. Neutral colours and simple layers usually work beautifully with Edinburgh’s streets, but I am always happy to help if you want advice.

What if we feel camera shy or not used to having photos taken?

That is very common, and nothing to worry about.
Most people tell me this at the beginning. The walk feels more like spending time together than a photoshoot, and after a few minutes, you usually forget about the camera completely.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Edinburgh weather can change quickly, and that is part of the city.
If it rains or gets windy, we adjust the route, use more sheltered streets, and keep everything comfortable. Some of the most atmospheric photos happen on moody days.

Can we buy more photos or upgrade to the full gallery?

Yes.
All sessions include a set number of images, with an option to upgrade to the full gallery after viewing your photos.
The Story Collection already includes the full edited gallery, so no upgrade is needed.

Is this session suitable for families with young children?

Absolutely.
The photosession is flexible and shaped around your family’s needs. We take our time, follow your child’s rhythm, and keep everything relaxed. There is no pressure to perform or pose.

How do I book a session with Dorota?

Simply send me a message with your preferred date, number of people, and any notes about your group.
To secure your booking, I kindly ask for a £100 deposit, which will be deducted from your final total. Once the deposit is paid, I will confirm your session and send a short guide to help you prepare.
