Hi, I am Dorota🌿
Before you step in front of my camera, I want you to know who is standing behind it.
I know that being photographed can feel personal. You are meeting someone new and, very quickly, I am asking you to relax, be yourself and let me photograph the people who mean the most to you.
So before I ask you to share a little of your story with me, I would love to share a little of mine with you.
This is my little WORLD✨
I am a wife, a mum to two girls, Julia and Lili, and someone who has always loved keeping photographs of ordinary life.
Looking back, the photographs that mean the most to me are not necessarily the perfect ones. They are the ones that take me straight back to a person, a place or a moment I had almost forgotten.
Our family has changed so much over the years. The girls grew up, life moved on, and all those ordinary days became memories much faster than I expected.
Maybe that is why photography means so much to me now.
“We rarely know which ordinary moments will become the ones we miss the most.”
And now, sometimes there are two of us...
If you book a session with me, you may also meet Julia✨.
The little girl you can see in some of these family photographs is now 15 and completing her school work experience with me.
She joins me on selected sessions, helps me with little things behind the scenes, observes how I work and learns about photography, editing and working with people.
For now, she is here to learn, gain experience and confidence. And I have to admit, it is rather special having her beside me after all these years.
Now I would love to hear your story
You do not need to know how to pose. Your children do not need to behave perfectly. You do not need to feel confident in front of the camera before you arrive. That part is my job.
I want you to feel as though you are spending time with someone you already know. We can walk, talk, explore, let the children be themselves and give everyone a little time to settle in.
Whether I meet you in your home, somewhere outdoors or while you are exploring Edinburgh, I want you to leave with more than beautiful photographs. I want you to remember that you had a lovely time together.
These are some of my memories.
Now I would love to help you keep yours.
