COUPLE & ENGAGEMENT

RELAXED COUPLE PHOTOGRAPHY IN EDINBURGH AND SCOTLAND

Are you looking for relaxed photographs together without awkward posing or pressure? Whether you are visiting Scotland, planning an engagement session, celebrating an anniversary, or simply wanting beautiful photographs together, I would love to create something meaningful with you.

Some sessions take place walking through Edinburgh’s beautiful streets and viewpoints, while others are slower and more relaxed in one meaningful location. We can meet in the city, somewhere outdoors in nature, or at a place connected to your story together.

You do not need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. Most couples tell me they feel nervous before the session. We simply walk, talk, take things slowly and let the experience unfold naturally while I gently guide you along the way.

Alongside natural moments and connection, I also create relaxed portraits that feel timeless, personal and full of atmosphere — photographs that will bring you back to this stage of life years from now.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Where We Meet

Couple and engagement sessions can take place in Edinburgh, outdoors in nature, at your accommodation, or in a meaningful location connected to your story together. Some couples love quiet city streets and viewpoints, while others prefer beaches, hills or slower outdoor locations with more space and privacy.

Once we plan your session together, I will help guide you with location ideas and the best time for the atmosphere you are looking for.

The session

These sessions are relaxed, natural and easy-going. We walk, talk, explore and take things slowly while I gently guide you along the way. You do not need to know how to pose or feel confident in front of the camera beforehand.

Alongside natural moments and connection, I also create relaxed portraits that feel timeless and personal without becoming stiff or overly posed.

Who This Is For

These sessions are perfect for couples wanting natural photographs together without pressure or awkward posing.

Whether you are celebrating an engagement, anniversary, honeymoon, weekend away, or simply wanting meaningful photographs together, the goal is always the same — relaxed photographs that feel honest, emotional and personal.

PROPOSALS & SPECIAL MOMENTS

If you are planning a proposal, anniversary, honeymoon, or simply want to celebrate this chapter of your relationship together, these sessions are relaxed, natural and shaped around the two of you.

Sessions can take place in Edinburgh, outdoors in nature, at your accommodation, or in a meaningful location connected to your story. Alongside relaxed portraits, I also capture the quieter in-between moments and genuine reactions that often become the most treasured memories later on.

There is no rush or pressure. We plan everything together so the experience feels personal, comfortable and true to you both.

CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION

We choose the location together depending on the kind of atmosphere and experience you would love to create together.

For relaxed couple photoshoots, we can explore beautiful Edinburgh streets, hidden corners, cosy cafés, quieter city walks or meaningful places connected to your story together. Sessions can also take place outdoors at beaches, woodland walks or countryside locations around Scotland.

For engagement sessions and proposals, many couples prefer quieter locations with beautiful open views and a more private atmosphere. Places like Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill, Circus Lane, Dean Village, hidden Old Town closes or peaceful beaches work beautifully for creating relaxed and meaningful moments together.

FAQ

We feel awkward in front of the camera. Is that okay?

Completely. Most couples say this before their session. I keep everything relaxed and natural, so it feels more like spending time together than being photographed.

Do you help with posing?

Yes, gently. I will guide you when needed, but I never want the session to feel stiff or overly posed. Most of the time, I focus on movement, conversation and natural interaction between you both.

What should we wear?

I always recommend clothing that feels comfortable and natural to you. Neutral, earthy and softer tones work beautifully with Edinburgh streets and Scotland landscapes.

What are the best locations for engagement photos in Edinburgh?

Popular engagement locations include Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill, Dean Village, Circus Lane, quieter Old Town closes and beautiful outdoor locations around Scotland depending on the atmosphere you are looking for.

How long does a couple or engagement session last?

Most sessions last between 4 m minutes and 1,5 hours depending on the location, pace and type of experience you are planning.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Edinburgh weather can change quickly, and that is part of the city.
If it rains or gets windy, we adjust the route, use more sheltered streets, and keep everything comfortable. Some of the most atmospheric photos happen on moody days.

Can we buy more photos or upgrade to the full gallery?

Yes.
Keepsake Collection include a set number of images, with an option to upgrade to the full gallery for £150 after viewing your photos.
The Story Collection already includes the full edited gallery, so no upgrade is needed.

Do you work on weekends?

I primarily work from Monday to Friday. However, I'm happy to accommodate special requests for Saturday and Sunday sessions. Please note that there is an additional fee for weekend appointments.

Feel free to reach out if you have any specific preferences or questions regarding weekend availability.

How do I book a session with Dorota?

Simply send me a message with your preferred date, number of people, and any notes about your group.
To secure your booking, I kindly ask for a £100 deposit, which will be deducted from your final total. Once the deposit is paid, I will confirm your session and send a short guide to help you prepare.
