AUTUMN AND WINTER FAMILY PHOTOS

It is time to start thinking about your family session.

Autumn is one of the most popular times for family photos. The trees turn golden, and the late afternoon sun sits lower in the sky, giving a soft and warm light that looks beautiful on the skin. The nice thing is that little ones are usually still awake for sunset at this time of year, which is not always the case in summer. Winter can also be lovely for photos, with frosty mornings and gentle light — as long as you are happy to wrap up warm. I usually suggest cosy knitwear, layers, gilets, and even thermals underneath. Cute bear hats are always a sweet extra😉.

The leaves turn all shades of yellow, orange, and red. The ground crunches under your feet, and the air feels a little colder on your cheeks. It is autumn which is one of my favourite times of the year, especially for photos. It is a perfect season for a family session, a couple or group shoot, or even for taking portraits yourself if you enjoy being behind the camera.
